The project aimed to create a set of utensils that mainly help children learn to grip utensils. We studied how different children held their tools and which tools seemed more comfortable. We found out that thicker tools allowed them to use less strength; however, it will lead to kids holding their utensils in a closed fist. Our solution was to increase thicknesses in different areas while keeping a thin profile and creating guiding touchpoints; kids will slowly start to hold the tool more comfortably and adequately.
