Found Object

Complex compositions abstracted from found objects.

The Found Object composition is one of the most exciting and challenging exercises. It starts by collecting various disposed objects in multiple forms and materials, ideally all different in scale, form, and nature. Students create a complex composition of 10-12 elements with various scales, form types, axis directions, and connections. On the selected sketch, the student abstracts the essence of these elements into cleaner, more refined representations that later become the final composition.
